Hardwood briquettes, which are also known as heat logs or heat bricks, have the highest heat content of any solid fuel with a calorific value of up to 4800 kcal per kilo.  They provide more heat per pound sterling than coal and are a lot cleaner and easier to use.  Hardwood briquettes are made from 100% recycled compressed sawdust which is a by-product of the wood production industry and therefore no forestry is harvested to enable their production.

Hardwood briquettes have one of the longest burn times of all solid fuels.  They will burn with a flame for up to an hour and smoulder for up to three hours.  They are easy to light using kindling or fire blocks (see suggested products below) and they reach maximum temperature quickly, providing a clean smokeless burn with no sparks or spitting.  Wood briquettes have an ash residue of under 1% which can be composted.

When ordering half a pallet of hardwood briquettes you will receive 490kg of briquettes packed in 49 x 10kg packs.  Each pack contains six briquettes which have an individual weight of just over 1.65kg and measure 280mm x 75mm x 75mm.  Each individual briquette is of a uniform shape and size making them perfect for stacking tidily in limited spaces.  They are also very easy to break up by hand so can be used in smaller burners and stoves which cannot accommodate larger logs or pieces of wood.

Hardwood briquettes are perfect for a wide variety of uses.  They are widely used in wood boilers, stoves, open fires and cookers as well as chimineas, pizza ovens and firepits.  They contain no additives, chemicals or binding materials so will not leave residues in your appliance or chimney flue.
