A half pallet 525kg of genuine Irish peat briquettes.
Peat briquettes has been Ireland’s most popular solid fuel for centuries. These smokeless peat briquettes have been manufactured by Bord Na Móna in Ireland for over half a century and are more popular now than ever. Peat briquettes are a lot drier than turf fuel , with a typical moisture content of only 12%, making them much easier to light using firelighters (see illustration below and recommended products at the bottom of the page). Bord Na Móna peat briquettes will create the homely feeling you can only get with the scent of burning genuine Irish peat and product a unique bright flame when burning. They are produced by compressing dried, milled peat under high pressure into briquette form and as such they contain only natural materials with no binders or additives. These briquettes are supplied in identically sized bales making them very easy to stack and store efficiently.
The peat briquettes are easy to use and clean burning with a low sulphur content. They have a burn time of up to three hours with normal use or can be used in a stove with closed vents to keep a fire burning overnight or to rekindle a fire. Peat briquettes are classified as a smokeless fuel. They will not spit or spark, have a consistent high heat output and consistent quality, and less than 6% ash content.
Peat briquettes are one of the most flexible fuels available which can be used in domestic open fires, closed stoves, solid fuel cookers as well as fire bowls, fire pits and chimineas.
